The Night Flight Orchestra
Known as TNFO, The Night Flight Orchestra took a somewhat different approach to AOR whenthey entered the scene. While many Scandinavian AOR bands leaned towards a similar sound, TNFO found inspiration in the late ’70s and early ’80s, creating their own distinctive blend of melodic rock, groove and classic rock influences.
The result has taken them to sold-out venues and an ever-growing audience. With their popularity continuing to expand year after year, we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome The Night Flight Orchestra to Malmö Melodic 2027.
Get ready for a great night with one of Sweden’s most distinctive melodic rock acts!

After a reform, and releasing their follow up record 2007, the band has gone trough various lead singers. Crashdiet have always kept true to their sound as a hard rockin sleeze act.
Entering Malmö Mełodic 2027 with new lead singer John Elliot the band will certainly get a chance to prove themselves being as strong as ever!

But ever since Oliver Hartmann released his debut in 2005 with Hartmann, the band has been a highly acclaimed melodic rock band. Hartmann will finally appear in Malmö for the first time ever.

With a string of singles, one EP and one full length album and rave reviews, it’s time for The Mind Place to meet the versatile and fantastic Malmö Melodic audience.
- Birthrite (2025)
Civil Daze
Civil Daze came from nowhere in 2025. Although they had released an EP in 2019, few had heard of them until the release of Once in a Blue Moon. The band is fronted by Helena Zommerdal, who has a very strong distinctive voice, the rest of the bands are made up of veteran musicians.
We are really looking forward to hearing Civil Daze and are convinced they will surprise most of the people in the audience.
- A Heart on Display (EP) 2019
- Once In a Blue Moon 2025
Stiletto
Stiletto is a brand new band from Sweden. They were formed in the second half of 2025 by members of the band Strykenine, who had a bunch of songs, not fitting the band. They decided to form a band with a new singer.
The result sure is very promising. With traces of Vixen, Saraya and Violet. Stiletto released their debut-EP with the wonderful title »You Know… Like the Shoe. Or the Knife… We Don’t Know Yet« in 2026 and received great reviews everywhere.
- You Know… Like the Shoe. Or the Knife… We Don’t Know Yet (2026)
WET
W.E.T. is a supergroup in our genre. With musicians from Work of Art (Robert Säll and Andreas Passmark), Eclipse (Erik Mårtensson and Magnus Henriksson) and Talisman (Jeff Scott Soto and Jamie Borger) not only have they made some of the best music in their own bands – together they have created masterpieces – and the few times they actually played live, they are superb.
Can’t wait to see them on stage at Malmö Melodic!

Paul Laine
How many discovered Paul Laine after hearing Dorianna on Stick It In Your Ear way back in 1990? Or after seeing him fronting Danger Danger? The comeback of all times with The Defiants perhaps? Either way, Mr. Paul Laine from Vancouver, Canada quickly became one of those voices you instantly recognize and always want to hear more from. The time has come.
With both Danger Danger and The Defiants on ice, this sure will be a night you don’t want to miss.

Cassidy Paris
Cassidy Paris is the new sensation in the melodic rock world. Basically born into music, as the daughter of guitarist Steve Janevski (Radio Sun, Wicked Smile). Cassidy started to collaborate with Paul Laine when she was just 11 years old, he helped her to release her debut EP. In 2023 she became the youngest ever artist to sign with Frontiers Records. Through them she has released 2
albums.
The last couple of years she has toured extensively in Japan, the US, Europe and recently in South America.

Newman
Having been around as a band since the late 90’s the band strangely still haven’t played in Sweden, so as Newman enters the stage at Malmö Melodic it will be the first gig in Sweden.
Newman has since their start delivered class AOR with clear retro and a more modern touch.
Bringing their big AOR to Malmö Melodice really feels like a treat!

Since last time at Malmö Melodic Grand has released an album with their sound intact presenting world class AOR. Grand has not played that many gigs since their last time around, but has now become a full band aiming for more live gigs.
Malmö Melodic is glad to have Grand on the bill once again as we know they will deliver!

- Guilty Pleasure (2026)
Michael Catton
Having impressed us at last year’s successful Garden pre-party, Michael Catton is back, this time to appear at Malmö Melodic festival bill! With his slightly raspy voice and soulful vibrato, Michael delivers melodic rock with a true late ’80s feel, adding his own rougher edge to the genre.
Having seen his brother Chris fronting Boys of Heaven at the festival, it’s now time to get better acquainted with Michael and his own musical expression. Having worked closely with Søren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Electric Guitars, Jesper Binzer) and recently released new material, there’s clearly more to come from this Dane.
We have a feeling this is just the beginning, so make sure not to miss Michael Catton!
- Point of No Return (2023)
Alyson Avenue – VIP
Alyson Avenue were formed in the late 90’s and released their debut, Presence Of Mind, in 2000, followed it up with Omega in 2004 and their last(?) Changes in 2011. As most know, the singer is Anette Olzon, who later fronted Finnish metal giants Nightwish for five years, today she has released a solo record and two records together with famed singer Russell Allen (Symphony X), among others.
The band very rarely plays live, when it happens it’s mostly in the southern part of Sweden, and if you look closely, you might recognize a couple of musicians in the band.
It’s our pleasure to give our VIP-guest something more to remember!
- Presence Of Mind (2000)
- Omega (2004)
- Changes (2011)

Their latest record are now 16 years old, but the band has toured constantly in their homeland through the years and are still regarded as one of Norways finest melodic rock bands.

Remedy
Everyone who hasn’t lived under a rock the last three – four years, knows about Remedy, one of the newest Swedish sensations in the melodic rock world. Formed in Stockholm, by Roland “Rolli” Forsman, who was born in Finland but living in Stockholm since almost 20 years. The band started under the pandemic as a project but evolved to what it is today, one of the most talented bands
out there.
The debut came in 2022, the follow-up in 2024, which was the same year they played at the first Malmö Melodic. The guys are writing new songs to their forthcoming album, which so far has no release date, so hopefully we can hear a few new songs when they come back to Malmö Melodic in 2027!
- Something That Your Eyes Won’t See (2024)
- Pleasure Beats the Pain (2024)
91 Suite
Formed around the new millenium, Spanish band 91 Suite released their debut in 2002, which got really good reviews back then. They followed up with another album three years later, but then disappeared from the spotlight for many years. In 2019 the guys were back with the six song CD and a full-length CD in 2022. The last couple of years the band has recorded new songs for a new cd, which still has not release date.
There are few Spanish melodic bands out there, we are very happy to have 91 Suite playing at Malmo Melodic 2027!

Seventh Wonder
Formed in Stockholm, Sweden, back in 2000. Seventh Wonder started writing music and did a couple of demos, but it wasn’t until 2005 they recorded their debut, Become. From the second record until 2023 Tommy Karevik (Kamelot) was the band’s singer and they toured with Jorn Lande, Redemption, Queensryche and Pagan’s Mind, to name a few.
They played Progpower in the USA, resulting in a live album 2014. Turning the page to the year 2026, the band announced that Mattias Olofsson (Grand) is the band’s new singer and that they will release their new record, called VII in early 2027. From what we heard so far, the band continues in the same vein with their melodic, heavier progressive sound.
For all you out there that likes your music on the heavier side, do not miss Seventh Wonder, we guarantee that you will be very pleased.

Having produced a total of seven albums since the start Captain Blackbeard has kept their sound intact, mixing both 70’s and 80’s ingredients.
Their fanbase has grown constantly and it’s time for the band to meet Malmö Melodic’s international crowd!

Robin Red – VIP
Robin Red is of course, Degreed singer and bass player Robin »Red« Ericsson. Degreed is one of most productive bands around, so Robin has a big chest of songs to choose from. As a solo artist Robin has released one record, on Frontiers back in 2021, where he had help from a couple of guys from H.E.A.T and his brother Mats, to name a few.
We are very curious and excited to see what Robin has in mind when he picks his setlist, so welcome Robin Red, as a VIP only, to Malmö Melodic 2027!
